Plumbing Service Areas in Abuja
Twenty-five Abuja districts, and why the one you are in changes which fault is likely.
Coverage
Every district we cover
Each district below has its own page, written around the building stock, the water supply arrangement and the drainage that district actually has. Pick yours and you will find the faults we see there most often.
- Plumber in MaitamaOlder mains, mature landscaping and concealed runs under finished stone.
- Plumber in AsokoroLarge plots, long service runs and heavy reliance on booster pressure.
- Plumber in WuseOriginal FCDA blocks in Zones 1 to 7, shared risers and heavy daytime commercial load.
- Plumber in Wuse IIDense mixed-use blocks where one riser fault affects several flats.
- Plumber in GarkiThe city's oldest planned housing, with original distribution reaching end of life.
- Plumber in GuzapeNewer hillside builds with steep gradients and young, settling ground.
- Plumber in JabiFast-built apartment stock, lakeside water table and pump-fed supply.
- Plumber in UtakoCompact mixed commercial and residential, with drainage carrying more than it was built for.
- Plumber in WuyeSloped residential plots where gravity and pumped supply meet awkwardly.
- Plumber in MabushiA small, compact district of mid-rise apartments and offices on shared systems.
- Plumber in KatampeRocky, elevated ground where digging is the expensive part of every job.
- Plumber in Katampe ExtensionA young district of new builds, where defects and unfinished infrastructure dominate.
- Plumber in JahiRapid apartment growth on shared boreholes, pump rooms and roof storage.
- Plumber in KadoMixed older estate housing alongside newer blocks, with widely varying standards.
- Plumber in Life CampGated estates on communal water systems, where the estate is the real client.
- Plumber in GwarinpaA very large estate of near-identical houses, so the same faults repeat street to street.
- Plumber in KukwabaA small central district of newer, low-density development close to the city core.
- Plumber in ApoUniform quarters-standard blocks alongside self-built housing, with very different needs.
- Plumber in DurumiQuiet mid-density residential of mixed age, close to the city centre.
- Plumber in KauraNewer estate development in a district still filling in, with young infrastructure.
- Plumber in Games VillagePurpose-built housing of a single age, so components reach end of life together.
- Plumber in LokogomaA fast-expanding estate belt with private water and soakaway-led drainage.
- Plumber in LugbeDense mass housing along the airport road, largely on borehole and tanker supply.
- Plumber in DawakiRapid new development north of Gwarinpa, where infrastructure is still catching up.
- Plumber in KubwaA large satellite town where long-established plumbing is reaching the end of its life.
Why we publish district pages rather than one Abuja page
Because the districts genuinely differ, and treating them as one market produces bad diagnosis. A Garki house on original galvanised distribution has a flow problem that no pump will fix. A Guzape house on the hillside has an over-pressure problem that no bigger pump should ever be added to. A Jahi flat has a pressure complaint that originates in shared plant the resident does not control. A Lugbe property on tanker supply has a pump that will destroy itself the first time the tank runs empty. Same city, four completely different first tests.
Response times, honestly
For the districts inside the inner ring, our target for a genuine emergency is 60 minutes. That covers Maitama, Asokoro, Wuse, Wuse II, Garki, Guzape, Jabi, Utako, Wuye, Mabushi, Katampe, Katampe Extension, Jahi, Kado, Life Camp, Gwarinpa, Kukwaba, Apo, Durumi, Kaura and Games Village.
For Lokogoma, Lugbe, Dawaki and Kubwa we do not make that promise, because the journey varies too much for it to be honest. We come out at any hour, and when you call we give you a realistic arrival time and keep to it. We would rather tell you ninety minutes and arrive than tell you sixty and leave you watching the clock.
If you are outside the FCT, call anyway and we will tell you plainly whether we can help, rather than sending someone on a long journey to disappoint you.
